Colors of Astrology

While sitting at the airport with Hrushi my son, I was watching people going here and there. There was a big crowd of people from different countries. Hrushi said, “Mom this world is divided into two parts male and female.” I smiled at him and said, “I think they are divided into mainly 12 colors with different shades”. He was confused by my answer. I said these 12 colors are 12 zodiac signs with shades of different nakshatras and planets. As an Astrologer, I am fond of reading people.”

Women in Research

After devoting almost a decade in the field of research, its right to say that science and scientific research remains an extremely male-dominated field. India is no exception to this trend. The total global average of 28.4% of women in research out of which in India only 14% are women scientist. These numbers highlight how divided the scientific community is on the basis of gender.

पोवाड्या संबंधी थोडेसे –

Spring Cleaning

It feels squeaky sparkly clean! One has got to experience this with one’s inner eye. A clutter-free space all of your own, all for yourself where creativity and happiness can go skipping hand-in-hand till eternity and it just feels so light and floaty like the dandelion clocks in spring. I am loving it so much that I am loving myself because of it, a bit more every moment. Life seems worth living. There’s finally place for me in my own world – a world previously cluttered with the unwanted – putrid garbage of eons which I decided to shake off one fine day. And am I glad!

ठहरो, वहीं रुको

पास मत आओ

कि असंख्य काँटे उगे हैं मेरी हथेलियों में

तुम भी लहूलुहान हो जाओगे

कब तक मरहमपट्टी कर करके कदम बढ़ाओगे

भेद करना नहीं जानते अपने पराए में 

बस चुभ जाते हैं

गोरी काली मोटी मुलायम

कैसी भी त्वचा में

किसी भी मन में

औरों से थोड़ा भिन्न हो तुम

झाड़ पोंछकर मेरे शब्दों की चुभन

यूँ लौट लौटकर पूछते हो...

क्या काँटों के बीच फूल खिलने की

रूमानियत में

यकीन करते हो?

कुछ उदास सी चुप्‍पियाँ

टपकती रहीं आसमां से

सारी रात...

बिजलियों के टुकडे़

बरस कर

कुछ इस तरह मुस्‍कुराये

जैसे हंसी की खुदकुशी पर

मनाया हो जश्‍न

चाँद की लावारिश सी रौशनी

झाँकती रही खिड़कियों से

सारी रात...

मैं क्या लिखूं ...

ये जो मेरा ,तुम्हारा रिश्ता हैं न...

वो आशकि की ज़ुबान में दर्ज नहीं..

लिखा गया है बहुत मिलने औऱ बिछड़ने के बारे में..

मगर ये बिछड़न अपनी हालात नही है कहीं

ये जो अपना इश्क़ हम-आगोश जिसमे हिज्र की रात हैं

ये न जाने कबसे हमारे हमदम है

इस इश्क़ ए खास को सबसे छुपाए हुवे है..

गुज़र गया है जमाना तुझको गले लगाए हुवे...

माझा गीतापठण प्रवास - प्रस्तावना

मी गेल्या दहा वर्षात वेगवेगळ्या गावी, देशी जाऊन आले की तिथे मला काय दिसले, काय वेगळे होते, तिथल्या माणसांच्या वृत्ती, प्रवृत्ती असे लिहून ठेवत असे. ते वाचायला अनेकांना आवडले. या वर्षी मी एकही ट्रीप केली नाही का अशी विचारणा अधूनमधून होत होती. आज आता माझा पूर्ण वर्षभर घडलेला प्रवास क्रमाक्रमाने नोंदण्याचा प्रयत्न करणार आहे.

Christmas markets and holiday season are so interlinked in Germany and all over Europe that one can not miss it. Especially, buzz of Christmas in my home town Stuttgart, gives vibes of Diwali with lighting, food, shopping and crowd. Its our favorite activity to visit. We live every moment of it over the four advent weekends in December. I captured some glimpses and moments of popular Stuttgart Christmas market , that got published in  Marathi newspaper 'Lokmat' suppliment 'Manthan'. Here is photo of it.

Intermittent Fasting - My lifestyle

July 2017 was a turning point in my life. I came across the term 'Intermittent Fasting' in one of Luke Coutinho, the celebrity coach's online video stressing the importance of giving break to the body by not eating for a certain number of hours and the benefits it brought with such a "fasting" phase once a while. Not eating for around 12 or 14 or 16 hours? And me? How was I going to sustain and even live for a day by doing it? I read a lot of books about it. I read many articles online. I gathered information, got convinced by it, made up my mind and took up this lifestyle. Read on to know more about this lifestyle, which I have adopted very successfully, lost a lot of weight and also introduced a lot of friends and family members into it who are reaping its benefits every single day.
