Soul Connect

Many times we all have come across this big word. People keep talking about the soulmate concept.  For example - Soul mates, Soul sister, etc. Even I think, at times, does this concept really exist. YES, it is. I am sure we all have come across this phenomenon. When we meet somebody, at times we immediately get so well connected to each other as if we know them from ages. I have experienced this many times.

Let's put some more light into it. I had read that there are mainly four types of soul mates, we encounter in our life. Not necessarily that all soulmate relationships that you encounter have to be romantic in nature. Some enter your life to teach us, to heal, to forgive. These will help us to grow in more ways than one. Here you go with 4  types of soulmates - 

1.  Healing Soulmates -

We have many people who inspire in there own way. From friends to colleagues. Some people come in our life just to "heal" us. Whoever we meet is there to help us grow. They arrive intending to provide you with the life lesson. These healing soulmates show up in one's life with divine timing. They know exactly what we need to learn and how they have to teach us. A healing soulmate exists in your life as long as the purpose aligned, and the lesson is still unlearned.

2. Karmic Soulmates -

We all are bound by the bonds that are beyond our understanding and knowledge. Some people we meet in our life are connected with us through past experiences. These connections are deep and karmic in nature. And these relationships are more often not so painful in nature.  What most people don't know is the fact that karmic soulmates have twinlike a connection. In some cases, they can even feel each other's emotions.

3. Past Life Soulmates -

More often than, might not be the people you meet in this lifetime may be connected with you from a past life. They might have been a lover or soulmate in your past life, and now they are back in this lifetime. You will feel the instant connection, and more often, that relationship is not that easy. You might think that the person you met, you know them for a very long time. This kind of relationship will likely last for a longer time. You will not hide or keep any secret from this type of person. Past life soulmates help us to shape in to being a better human being. 

4. Twin Flames Soulmates -

It is a known fact that twin flames work together to overcome emotional and spiritual barriers. This connection is such that they can talk for hours at a stretch without running out of things to say. From thinking similar to finishing each other sentences, twin flames soulmates do things naturally as a pair. When you meet the twin flames, you usually experience a sense of completeness, that wasn't experienced before.

अनुभव

शनिवारी काही कामानिमित्त नाशिकला गेलो होतो. सकाळी 9 वाजता ठाण्याहून निघालो. कसारा घाटातून जेंव्हा प्रवास सुरू झाला तेंव्हा अहाहा असं वातावरण होतं. अप्रतिम सुंदर दिसत होता घाट...हिरवाईच्या वेगवेगळ्या छटा...धबधबे....मस्त वातावरण होतं. घाट संपल्यावर  मानस हाॕटेलच्या अगोदर साधारण रस्यावर धुकं पसरायला लागलं. मी विवेकला म्हटलं पण की अरे काय सही मुहुर्तावर आपण हा प्रवास सुरू केलाय....नंतर धुकं खूप दाट व्हायला लागलं. मग तर मला अजूनच भारी वाटायला लागलं. आपण वेगळ्याच जगातून प्रवास करतोय अशी काहीशी भावना....Heavenly feeling....धुक्याच्या दाट दुलईतून वास्तव जगात प्रवेश केल्याबरोबर traffic jam, खराब रस्ते असं सगळं regular routine सुरू झालं. नाशिकला पोचलो.  मला घरी सोडून थोड्यावेळाने विवेक त्याच्या कामासाठी निघून गेला. मी, आई आणि  माझी लहान बहीण आम्ही  मनसोक्त गप्पा मारल्या. मी एकदम refresh झाले. संध्याकाळी  5.30 च्या सुमारास परतीच्या वाटेला लागलो. नाशिकहून निघताना नेहेमीच मला चुटपुट लागते. तशीच थोडी लागली होती. घोटी ओलांडून पुढे आलो. धुक्याची हलकी चादर पसरायला लागली होती. का कुणास ठाऊक मनाला थोडी हुरहुर लागली होती. पुढे जाउ लागलो तसं धुकं अजूनच गडद, घट्ट होउ लागलं. पुढंचं काहीच दिसत नव्हत. Literally धुक्याला चिरत गाडी पुढे जात होती. सगळं वातावरणच विचित्र, स्तब्ध झालं होतं. जणू काही आम्ही गाडीसकट एका वेगळ्याच मितीत प्रवेश करत होतो. वेगळाच time zone...त्या क्षणी अनेक गोष्टी आठवल्या.... गायब झालेल्या माणसांच्या, गाड्यांच्या....ज्यांचा काही पुढे trace च लागत नाही. आता सगळं संपलं ही मनाची stage आली. लोकांशी निर्रथक घातलेले वाद, कोणावर काहीतरी कारणाने  असलेला राग सगळं आठवायला लागलं. आणि जाणवलं किती साध्या गोष्टींमधे आपण राग, लोभ बाळगतो....

सकाळी रमणीय वाटणारं दृष्य आता फार भयानक वाटायला लागलं. सकाळी जे heavenly वाटत होतं ते आता दुसऱ्या अर्थाने heavenly वाटू लागलं. धुकं किंचित ओसरू लागलं. घाट सुरू झालेला होता. सकाळी भारी वाटलेले धबधबे पुसटसे दिसत होते आणि भितीदायक वाटत होते. गाडीत आम्ही गप्पच होतो.  होता, होता धुकं कमी होऊ लागलं. दूरवर लतीफवाडीचे दिवे दिसायला लागले आणि मी सुटकेचा श्वास टाकला....

ह्याला काय म्हणायचं? माझ्याच मनाने घेतलेले हे दोन अनुभव....एक सकाळी, एक संध्याकाळी ....आपलं एखाद्या गोष्टीचं perception वेगवेगळ्या वेळी वेगवेगळं असतं का? आपल्या हातून कळत, नकळत झालेल्या चुकांची जाणीव तेंव्हाच का व्हावी? त्या आता यापुढे टाळूया असं मी ठरवलं....का हे स्मशानवैराग्य असेल? कुणास ठाऊक....

Heaven vs. Paradise

As a vivid reader, I often come across thoughts or insights that ignite my mind or at times I feel euphoric when I am able to make a deeper sense of learning from a book or being able to connect the dots between varied learnings. I love to discuss and debate my learnings with my pool of friends who are great readers themselves. Lately, this shared learning keeps me going in otherwise mundane life.

In this blog post, I am quite excited to pen down a thought that has resided in me since I have read a book by Devdutt Pattanaik called ‘Sita’. For people who haven’t read this book, this book is his version of famous Hindu mythology ‘Ramayana’. Please find below an episode from Ramayana, which has changed my outlook towards life.

Once when Ram, Laxman, and Sita were wandering deep in the forest during their exile, Laxman happens to talk about how lucky Indra, the king of gods was to live in heaven. He seeks Ram’s opinion on the same to which Ram replied that he didn’t agree that the place where Indra lived could be called as Heaven. He said it could at the best be called ‘Paradise’ and gave his reason for stating the same. Indra is surrounded by wealth, beauty and fame, but he is always insecure, fearful that another king or sage or demon may topple him anytime. On the other hand, there is Kailash of Shiva, where there is no threat; there is peace forever. Here everyone lives harmoniously without depending on each other. Ganesha’s mouse isn’t scared that it will fall prey to Lord Shiva’s snake, neither is the snake worried of being eaten up by Kartikeya’s peacock. There is no predator-prey relationship between the inhabitants as they have successfully overcome their basic needs.

In short, here time stills, there is no ebb and flow of things, no hunger hence no quest for satisfaction, no thirst hence no satiety. In the case of paradise, there is prosperity but no peace, while in Heaven there is peace but complete indifference to prosperity.

Have you ever noticed people who are quite below us in the socio-economic order, yet seem to be quite happy in their lives compared to us? As per me, Heaven or Paradise is a state of mind. A slum dweller can live happily in his own Heaven, while a millionaire remains unhappy in his Paradise. We often keep longing for things we don’t have rather than being satisfied with the things that we have. It entirely depends on us whether we chose to live in ‘Heaven’ or ‘Paradise’.

थेंब शांततेचे

 थेंब शांततेचे

खूप वेळापासून ‘कृष्णा’ त्या दोघांकडे बघत होती. बोलताना त्यांच्या चेह-यावर जरा जास्तच हालचाल दिसत होती. त्यांचे हावभाव, मुद्रा जरा जास्तच होत होत्या.

    ते दोघे शाळेचे विद्यार्थी होते, हे त्यांच्या गणवेषावरून कळतच होतं. बसमध्ये एकाच सीटवर बसले होते आणि तरीसुद्धा इतक्या जोरजोरात तोंडं वेडीवाकडी करून बोलत होते.

    कृष्णा बसमध्ये उभी होती. त्या दोघांची सीट तिच्यापासून दूर होती. त्यामुळे त्यांचे आवाज तिच्यापर्यंत पोचत नव्हते. तरीही त्यांच्या बोलण्याचा ढंग तिला काहीतरी विचित्र वाटत होता. उभ्या प्रवाशांची रांग हळूहळू पुढे सरकत गेली तशी कृष्णापण थोडी पुढे सरकली. त्यांच्याजवळ आली. थोडा वेळ त्यांचं निरीक्षण केल्यानंतर तिच्या लक्षात आलं, ते दोघं मूकबधिर होते. म्हणूनच ते संपूर्ण चेह-याचा संप्रेषणासाठी माध्यम म्हणून वापर करून घेत होते, हातांच्या अतिजलद हालचाली करत होते. चिन्हांकित, शब्दहीन भाषेमुळे त्यांचे चेहरे, हावभाव अतितीव्रतेने अर्थ प्रकट करण्याचा प्रयत्न करत होते. 

मोठ्या कुतूहलाने कृष्णा त्यांना निरखत होती. तेवढ्यात, रांगेत त्यांच्या सीटशेजारी जो माणूस होता त्याने त्या दोघांपुढे हात केला आणि हातांच्या जलद हालचालींनी काहीतरी सांगितलं. दोन्ही मुलांच्या चेह-यावर तीव्र आश्चर्याचे भाव उमटले. एक हात स्वतःच्या छातीवर आणि दुसरा त्या माणसाकडे करून मुलाने चेहरा प्रश्नांकित केला. उत्तरादाखल रांगेत उभ्या असणा-या त्या माणसाने आपल्या शेजारी उभ्या असलेल्या दुस-या माणसाच्या गळ्यात हात टाकून त्याला स्वतःकडे ओढलं. अर्थ स्पष्ट होता. चौघेही मूकबधिर होते. सीटवर बसलेले शाळेचे विद्यार्थी होते, बहुधा मूकबधिर विद्यालयाचे. रांगेत त्यांच्या शेजारी उभे असलेले दोघे २०-२५ वयाचे तरुण होते. एकाच वेळी चार मूकबधिर व्यक्ती एकाच बसमध्ये एकमेकांशेजारी याव्यात ही किती योगायोगाची गोष्ट होती!

    कृष्णा दुरून चौघांना न्याहाळत होती. 

एका सरकारी कार्यालयात सरकारी योजना शब्दांकित करणं, त्यांचं योग्य, नेमक्या शब्दात स्पष्टीकरण देणं, दुस-या भाषांमध्ये त्यांचा अनुवाद करणं, वेळ पडल्यास संस्कृतच्या आधारे नवे शब्द तयार करणं हे काम कृष्णा करत होती. तिला संपूर्ण दिवसभर सहवास होता, तो शब्दांचाच. शब्दांशिवाय तिच्या जगण्याला काही अर्थ नव्हता. प्रत्येक क्षणी शब्द.. शब्द.. शब्द..

    कधी कधी तिला शब्दांची घृणा वाटायला लागायची. या पार्श्वभूमीवर आज त्या चौघांचा निःशब्द संवाद पाहून तिला खूप आश्चर्य वाटलं आणि आनंदही झाला. 

थोड्या वेळाने रांगेतले अनेक लोक उतरून गेले. कृष्णा त्या चौघांच्या जवळ आली. त्या चौघांचे हावभाव पाहण्यात, त्यांचा अर्थ लावण्यात तिचा कितीतरी वेळ निघून गेला. एका हाताने वरची दांडी पकडलेली, खांद्यावर ओझं असताना कुणालाही असंच वाटेल की, या अवस्थेचं थोडा वेळ विस्मरण व्हावं. वेळ असा जावा की, कसा गेला कळूही नये. कृष्णालाही हेच हवं होतं. म्हणून ती मोठ्या कुतूहलाने त्या चौघांच्या संभाषणाचा एक भाग, एक श्रोता म्हणून बनली होती. फक्त पाहणारा, जाणणारा, साक्षी. 

थोड्या वेळानंतर मात्र हे संप्रेषण आवश्यकतेपेक्षा जास्तच होतंय असं तिला वाटायला लागलं. जे बोलू शकत नाहीत, ऐकू शकत नाहीत त्यांना एवढं बोलताना पाहून तिला जणू शिसारी यायला लागली. माणसाला ‘दुसरा’ एवढा का हवा असतो? का उघडी करायची असतात सगळी दारं? 

मध्यरात्री अर्धवट झोपेत अर्धवट जागेपणी कृष्णाला वाटलं, शब्द कीटक बनून आपल्या डोळ्यात जातायत. ती जोरजोराने डोळे चोळून शब्दांच्या कीटकांना बाहेर काढू लागली. ते कानात शिरले, नाकात शिरले, तोंडात छोटे, छोटे केसांचे तुकडे असावेत तसे दातात, जिभेवर येऊ लागले. थू.. थू.. करून कृष्णाने शब्दांना थुंकून टाकलं. ढेकूण बनून ते कपड्यात घुसून तिला चावू लागले. मुंग्या बनून पायावर चढू लागले. कृष्णा कपडे झटकून त्या ढेकूण, मुंग्या, कीटकांना आपल्या शरीरापासून दूर करू लागली. मग तिच्या असं लक्षात आलं की शब्द जळवेसारखे तिच्या शरीराला चिकटून बसलेत. तिचं रक्त शोषतायत्‌. तिच्या तोंडून एक किंकाळी बाहेर पडली आणि त्या आवाजानेच ती जागी झाली. 

कृष्णा बाल्कनीत येऊन उभी राहिली. तिच्यासमोर आभाळाचा एक तुकडा होता. त्यावर एकच तारा संपूर्ण सामर्थ्यानिशी तळपत होता. झाडं झोपलेली होती. स्वतःत मिटलेली होती. इमारती अंधारात गुडूप झालेल्या. कुणीही, कुठेही, काहीही आवाज करत नव्हतं. त्या असीम शांतीमुळे कृष्णा व्याकुळ झाली. तिने तोंड उघडून त्या शांततेचे थेंब पिऊन टाकले. स्वतःच्या शरीरावर अलगद हात फिरवत तिने त्या शांततेच्या कणांना स्वतःच्या शरीरात मुरवून टाकलं. शांततेचे थेंब डोळ्यात पाणी बनून  हळूहळू पाझरू लागले. त्यांच्या पाझरण्याचा कुठलाही आवाज नव्हता. सगळं नीरव, चुपचाप.
