The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world

To the world, SHE is a Mother but to the family, SHE is the WORLD. There are many precious things that God has bestowed upon us, however, a Mother is a unique gift. A mother's ageless love and care cannot be exemplified.

Mother's love is unconditional. She is someone who sees the best in her kids even when they drive her crazy. No bond is so strong, no love so instantaneous and forgiving as Mother's love. It need not be acquired nor be deserved. It is a fundamental truth that the responsibilities of motherhood cannot be successfully delegated. The natural state of motherhood is unselfish. When a woman becomes a mother, she no longer is the center of her own universe. She relinquishes that position to her children. A mom will always go the extra mile when it comes to her children.

Mother is the instinctive philosopher whose philosophies help us in every walk of life. Every girl as a child wants to be her, as a teen, many times loathe and blames her, as an adult admires her and as a mother emulates her.
    

Each mother has different challenges, different skills and abilities, and certainly different children. Some are full-time Moms and some divide their time into home, family, and work. But moms prioritize their children above all else. Thus today with working mothers moms are becoming Super Moms and these power moms have to develop unique strategies to succeed in both boardrooms and playrooms. Many of the moms( famous) publicly acknowledge the difficulty that comes with being a mother and a professional, especially one with a high octane career. But the work-life balance has to be struck by all working moms without any exception.

Not only for working moms but even with homemakers, day by day mother's role is becoming more and more difficult. With the cut-throat competition and an immense change in children's psychology and behavior, the mother's role is becoming tougher. The biggest challenge in raising children today is dealing with the outside influences of society and media. Because of the influence of the media children have wrong notions about diet, food, beauty, career, lifestyle, etc. Among the top specific concerning influences are fashion, peer pressure, obesity, drugs, and alcohol. Thus, today mothers not only have to look after the physical and mental development but inculcating morals, good attitude, self-confidence, etc also has become a challenge.

So today from this Mother's Day, let us honor Motherhood as we should. Let us appreciate the mother's mighty role as a progenitor of life, as the wellspring of all goodness that she is.

Let us honor Jijabai, a very pious and intelligent woman with a great vision.

Let us honor Mother Teressa who devoted herself to the poor, be they terminally ill or orphans, and above all Let us honor Mother India and Mother Earth.
